The Transit Commission is the governing body of all KU on Wheels programs. Previously, the Student Senate Transportation Board oversaw all KU on Wheels activities, but with the addition of faculty/staff transportation fees came the necessity for more representation on the Transportation Board. All policies and procedures are decided by the Transit Commission and handled by the chief administrator for KU on Wheels, the Transportation Coordinator, and KU Parking & Transit staff.
KU on Wheels is contracted through MV Transportation, who operates the system. The funding comes from two fees that students pay each semester; the transportation fee: $64.90 and the SafeRide fee: $10.00 (SafeRide fee includes SafeBus).
All questions or comments should be directed to KU on Wheels at (785) 864-4644, or send email to kuonwheels@ku.edu. All complaints must be submitted in writing.
