The Kansas African Studies Center* embodies the interdisciplinary interests of over forty Africanists at the University of Kansas. The Center's mission includes: Coordinating the African Studies program, sponsoring research and outreach initiatives, the enhancement of curriculum, organizing conferences, the acquisition of library and related resources, and raising funds to make all these activities possible.

Please see the Outreach section for more information, as well as Teaching Africa and the Middle East in the Great Plains, a project dedicated to providing resources for educators. We try to update this list regularly, and we welcome suggestions for new links.

News and information: Interested in Sub-Saharan Africa? Check out Stanford University's "Africa South of the Sahara" website. The site includes a wide variety of internet resources which have been vetted for quality. Information is organized by country, region, and topic.
