Involvement

KU traditionally has attracted talented and ambitious students. Besides academic success, the university prides itself on a tradition of active and meaningful student involvement.

Student Involvement and Leadership Center

This office is the hub of KU’s student activities. Its staff supports all students and their organizations, from political and cultural clubs to hobby groups, and is the central source for volunteer opportunities.

Hawk Link

First-year students are guided and assisted through the maze of college life by learning about existing programs and processes that will enrich their campus experience.

Student Government

As the official voice of students at the University of Kansas, the Student Senate works with the administration to institute policy, to resolve issues and to address new challenges.

The Center for Community Outreach

The center oversees 14 volunteer programs and partnerships with campus and community agencies and is a referral agency for local and national service organizations.

Leadership Studies

Students interested in leadership in their personal, community and professional lives can study leadership processes in an interdisciplinary minor.

Tradition Keepers

Student membership in the Kansas Alumni Association.

Greek Life

Men and women may choose to go through the recruitment processes and participate in fraternity or sorority activities.
