Dietitians and archivists, library assistants and publications writers, accountants and graphic designers, carpenters, electricians, masons, cooks, custodians and police officers are among the positions filled by members of the Classified Staff.

Members of the senates for faculty and classified and unclassified staff are selected to serve in the University Senate, which addresses issues and concerns across the full range of teaching and working on the Lawrence campus.

As the academic scheduler and bookkeeper for the university, the Registrar oversees enrollment, tuition and fees, timetables, transcripts and residency information.

Families of members of the university community also have access to support and guidance available through various programs .

The resources available to support and strengthen the work of the faculty and staff are varied: practical technical training and advice for computer users; workshops, seminars and forums on teaching techniques; and guidance on developing international research projects, among other services.
