| Purpose: | The mission of AbleHawks is to make students and faculty aware and educate about disability issues on the KU campus as well as give an opportunity for students to take pride in disability as a cultural identity. AbleHawks is working for the rights of people with disabilities on campus by advocating for an accessible and open campus. Any KU student or faculty is welcome to join AbleHawks. Although the group does focus on disability related issues, we feel strongly that all students are needed in order to learn about different abilities and what disability really means. |
