Undergraduate Education
Learning to learn is a large part of the undergraduate experience. Critical thinking, information gathering and analysis and effective communication are key skills that transcend the undergraduate education experience at KU no matter what the field of study. KU also strives to offer undergraduates an international experience and an opportunity to participate in the discovery of new knowledge through research. The KU undergraduate experience is truly transforming.

Writers need feedback, sounding boards, and other people to coach and guide them while they compose. That's where the KU Writing Center comes in. It's a place for productive talk about writing, with trained peer consultants to help you brainstorm, draft or edit your writing.
The Honors Program provides enriched educational opportunities for the most academically talented, promising, and motivated undergraduates at the University of Kansas. Through honors courses, tutorials, individualized advising, national scholarship support, and co-curricular activities, students are introduced to, and become a part of, an energetic scholarly community composed of students, faculty, and alumni. Students must complete a separate application to be considered for admission to the Honors Program.
