Welcome to Alternative Breaks at the University of Kansas. Alternative Breaks
is a service learning organization dedicated to giving students hands-on opportunities with service work. Participants will gain experience with some
of the most pressing social issues facing our generation.
As one of the biggest service learning initiatives at KU, we provide
service
trips for more than 200 students through our Winter, Spring,
and Weekend Break programs. If you are interested in participating in
