KU researchers working with Chinese colleagues have discovered a venomous, birdlike raptor that thrived some 128 million years ago in China. This is the first report of venom in the lineage that leads to modern birds.

The Holiday Vespers concert has roots dating to December 1884 when the new music department presented its first exclusive concert. Known by different names over the years, the annual event was dubbed simply "Vespers" in 1982.
